To maintain optimal performance and extend the unit's lifespan, a self-cleaning mechanism removes settled dirt and dust from the condensing coil. During each cycle, the compressor fan motor runs in reverse for 20 seconds, effectively blowing buildup off the condensing coil. While this feature contributes to improved efficiency and reduced energy consumption, regular preventive maintenance remains essential for optimal operation.
